AstroDSLR 1.2 is available for download from our OS X software project page. Among other changes, package now contains two executables, AstroDSLR for Canon and AstroDSLR for Nikon (vendor SDKs cannot coexist in single executable).
The built-in Canon camera driver is based on EDSDK 3.4 and supports the following hardware: EOS 1D Mark III, EOS 1Ds Mark III, EOS 1D Mark IV, EOS 1D C, EOS 1D X, EOS 1D X Mark II, EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 5DS, EOS 5DS R, EOS 6D, EOS 7D, EOS 7D Mark II, EOS 40D, EOS 50D, EOS 60D, EOS 70D, EOS 80D, EOS 100D/Digital Rebel SL1/Kiss X7, EOS 450D/Digital Rebel Xsi/Kiss X2, EOS 500D/Digital Rebel T1i/Kiss X3, EOS 550D/Digital Rebel T2i/Kiss X4, EOS 600D/Digital Rebel T3i/Kiss X5, EOS 650D/Digital Rebel T4i/Kiss X6i, EOS 700D/Digital Rebel T5i/Kiss X7i, EOS 750D/Digital Rebel T6i/Kiss X8i EOS 760D/Digital Rebel T6s/EOS 8000D, EOS 1000D/Digital Rebel XS/Kiss F, EOS 1100D/Digital Rebel T3/Kiss X50, EOS 1200D/Digital Rebel T5/Kiss X70, EOS 1300D/Digital Rebel T6/Kiss X80, (with limitations also EOS M, EOS M2, EOS M3, EOS M10).
The built-in Nikon camera driver is based on Nikon SDK (MAID3.1) and supports the following hardware: Type 1 (D3, D300, D700, D300S, D3D), Type 2 (D3X), Type 3 (D90, D5000), Type 4 (D7000), Type 5 (D5100), Type 6 (D800, D800E), Type 7 (D4), Type 8 (D600, D610), Type 9 (D5200), Type 10 (D7100), Type 11 (D5300), Type 12 (Df), Type 13 (D4D), Type 14 (D810, D810A), Type 15 (D750), Type 16 (D5500), Type 17 (D7200), Type 18 (D5), Type 19 (Nikon1 V3), Type 20 (D500).
Even if the main purpose of these applications is astronomy, both can be used also for daylight or timelapse photo. Or even macrophotography
