Re: Astrometry Questions

If I uncheck "Convert to JPEG," I can solve an previous image within 25 seconds. When the "Convert to JPEG" is checked, it takes several minutes.

Astrometry Questions

I have a couple of questions related to Astrometry (via AstroImager) . . . 1. When I try to select "Use Astrometry" the Solve button is grayed out. I'm sure there is a setting, I'm just not sure what it may be. I'm using INDIGO Sky and have selected INDIGO Sky as the mount and imaging agent. 2. When...

AI & Astrometry: Slew Command

Hi,

When using Astrometry (2.1) with AI, is it possible to slew to coordinates from an image taken earlier (on a different night)? If I'm imaging the same DSO over several nights, is there a command that will slew the scope to the same coordinates based upon Astrometry?

Thanks,

Michael

Re: INDIGO Server 4.x

Peter,

In the next build for the INDIGO Server 4.x, would it be possible to add a driver for the PegasusAstro Pocket Powerbox (2.0.0.18)? The driver is available in some of the other Cloudmaker programs.

Thanks again, I appreciate all that you are doing for the Mac Astro Community.

Re: Plate soving recommendations

Here's what I did to determine my settings . . . When I set up the first time I went to this site, http://nova.astrometry.net. I let it do a blind solve which indicated the catalog and settings to used. I then went into the Index Manager and picked the same settings. Since then, I usually can solve ...
