Re: Multiple AstroTelescope issues with EQ8-R Pro

The disconnections problem seems to be related to the cables I have been using. I bought a 4th one and seems to be working fine for the last week. There seems to be problems with the USB-C connection between the MacBook Pro and the EQ8-R Pro. I can't use a direct cable ( USB-B to USB-C ) because the...

Multiple AstroTelescope issues with EQ8-R Pro

Hi, Peter. I was adding this to the slew limit topic, but I think it's better that I open a new one with the issues I'm experiencing with AstroTelescope and my SkyWatcher EQ8-R Pro. Some of these issues are: 1. Lately, I don't know if it's because I'm always using the latest beta or what, I'm experi...

That worked, thank you ;)

Re: V4 dithering not working

Lately AstroGuider is sending this message sometimes with the latest version ( 4.0 (604) ): Dithering failed to settle down, maybe the timeout is too short. Neve had this before. I don't know if it have some relation with this bug. I have to stop sometimes and resume the guiding or it will continue ...

Re: AstroTelescope 4.x: Parking with SynScan not Working/ Pointing accuracy

I think, this is the confusion: before I park, doing all the steps you described before ( one extra, to be sure I was in Home position I first did an Auto Home Procedure ). At the end of this process the scope is pointing exactly to the west as can be seeing on the capture. If you mean step 3, the ...

Re: AstroTelescope 4.x: Parking with SynScan not Working/ Pointing accuracy

Pls. can you make a trace log for all the steps? I'll compare it with what going on with my mount. Thank you! Sure, here you are: before I park, doing all the steps you described before ( one extra, to be sure I was in Home position I first did an Auto Home Procedure ). At the end of this process t...

Re: AstroTelescope 4.x: Parking with SynScan not Working/ Pointing accuracy

I have followed all the steps you refer here and when I park to Declination 0, the scope points to the west. When I continue, switching off-on the mount and connecting again AstroTelescope, it says I'm pointing to Polaris when in fact the scope is pointing to the west, so if I try to go to any star,...

Re: AstroTelescope 4.x: Parking with SynScan not Working/ Pointing accuracy

You can do the same with INDIGO. You need to align the mount, set custom park position, save configuration and park. On unpark, custom park position and alignment points are restored on driver load and the current position is loaded on mount connection. I'm afraid, Peter, that's not working for me....

Re: AstroTelescope 4.x: Parking with SynScan not Working/ Pointing accuracy

I have tried now with INDI/Kstars and it works as expected. So it's not related to the encoders.I have been able to park in a custom position, reboot both the mount and the application and go from park position to a star directly without going to home position first...
