Re: AstroDSLR 4.x

Hi Peter, Hm, this may be confusing, you need to handle multiple monitors, disconnected monitors and thus different resolutions etc. But what about remember the position of both mini and normal view. So you need to organise your desktop with mini and normal view just once. Yes! Yours is a much simpl...

Re: AstroDSLR 4.x

Peter, I love the mini view! Great! One request though; could the fps in AD, AI and AG be reset to 0 once the preview/capture stops? It is sort of the smallest possible indicator in mini view that a preview/capture is still running or has stopped. Another feature request; could the app be positioned...

Re: Astrometry for macOS 2.0

Hi Peter,

If it was my idea, i'm experiencing some progressive insight in this case :D Had some unexpected behaviour a few times, only to find out i forgot to turn off "execute on load" on a new script. Maybe it is better to be OFF by default.

Re: Astrometry for macOS 2.0

Hi Peter, An underlying issue here may be that any new script is automatically flagged as "Execute script on agent load". Maybe this flag should be OFF by default to prevent unexpected behaviour when overlooked (had some issues with this myself :-). Regards, Johan Schermafbeelding 2021-02-01 om 13.1...

Scripting syntax - basics

Hi all, Was having a lot of trouble finding out the script syntax for the basic stuff and could not find easy to read documentation. So i put some time into getting some basic functions to work, reading different documentation sources and with a lot of trail and error. Thought it would be good to sh...

Re: Meridian Flip, a thought experiment

Peter is currently building server based plate solve (based on astrometry.net libs for now), which would in turn allow for implementation of a full meridian flip in Indigo. Not sure if he'll build it or when, but he could once plate solve is finished. My scripting is mostly an educational exercise f...

Re: Meridian Flip, a thought experiment

Hi Aaron, Make sure to change the variable "server_suffix" in the first line to reflect your RPi Server name. And you may way to change the "monitor_freq" in line 9 to something like 60 (check every minute) to not flood your log. If the server suffix is set correctly, you should see "Meridian flip: ...
