Re: Meridian Flip, a thought experiment

Noticed a minor bug in the GUIDING_handler event handler; had misplaced a bracket. Fixed in the attached file;

Astrometry for macOS 2.0

Hi Peter,

Thx for the Astrometry update!

I note for the upgrading process though; before you remove the 1.7 version of Indigo Astrometry, make sure to write down which indexes you use. The 2.0 version does not inherit the index selection, so they must be downloaded again.

Meridian Flip, a working script

Hi all, Even though Peter is building a better solution for server side Plate Solving, i made the script working on the client side anyway; it was a good exercise in scripting :-) Peter made a new build of AI for this, that contains the driver for the scripting agent; http://download.cloudmakers.eu/...

Re: Meridian Flip, a thought experiment

Hi all, Got the script going up to the point of plate solve :-) To be able to continue we have to wait for the new build of Peter with the plate solve and sync hooks in scripting. It was tested with the latest AT v4 and AI v4, mount_synscan and CC_simulator. The log: 14:10:47.121471 indigo_server: M...

Re: Meridian Flip, a thought experiment

Hi all, Just set-up the mount (AZ-EQ6) and looked at the mount_side_of_pier property of mount_synscan. Unfortunately, the property is read-only, so the flip must indeed be initiated with a new slew, once the meridian has been crossed. The property can still be used in the script before execution of ...

Re: Meridian Flip, a thought experiment

Hi all, The mount_side_of_pier property in mount_synscan indicates whether you're on the East or West side of the pier. What i don't know for sure, is if when you change the value, it initiates a meridian flip. Never tries it, but i think so. If so, this will simplify the process a lot. May test tom...

Re: Indigo Scripting: Ditherator to dither every XX frames

Hi Aaron,

Nice script; contains some useful examples and inspiration for me!

Now that you got going with scripting, the next big challenge is to get plate solving going :-)

Regards, Johan

@Peter; maybe we should have a Script section on the forum especially for exchanging scripts?

Re: Indigo scripting - example

Hi Aaron, What about; - Park and power down when the clouds move in - Re-calibrate guiding if during a long session the RMSE starts to climb - Plate-solving? Regarding the latter, the astrometry setup has a JSON based API. Found a python script to use it, but it is over my head to put this in an ind...
