There is an SDK from Sony for this camera, but at the moment it's Windows-only. Would having that SDK perhaps help in figuring out how to trigger an exposure or access the Live View?

Unfortunately it is a closed source library. But I believe somebody will hack it and publish the trick soon :) Peter

It looks like Sony has now released macOS versions of their SDK for integrating with high end Alpha cameras:

They also support Linux on ARM 32 & 64bit so Indigo server on Raspberry Pi in theory could use the same API.

Unfortunately no 32 bit Intel, but it doesn't matter too much already.

Peter Polakovic wrote: Sun Feb 23, 2020 8:20 pm There is already a bug filled for libghoto2 https://github.com/gphoto/libgphoto2/issues/471 but no solution yet. I'll try to add some more logging to see what data are sent with that new event and to try to guess what is it.
It seems this issue was fixed with a workaround in libgphoto2 version 2.5.27. Is this incorporated in the latest AstroDSLR 4.1 builds? I tried to test if with my A7R4 last night and was unsuccessful.
