Big Sur and CP210x based adapters

Post by Peter Polakovic »

Pls. don't upgrade to Big Sur if you have some device with CP210x based USB-to-serial adapter inside! The original macOS driver provided by Silicon Laboratories Inc. doesn't work anymore and the driver included in Big Sur seems to be broken :(

I think the warning is true for all USB2Serial converters. I have a Trendnet and I get the same warning.

But I don't connect directly to my Mac, I use IndigoSky I'm counting on it to keep things compatible.

Yes, with INDIGO Sky it doesn't matter. Peter
