AstroDSLR solves with INDIGO Sky astrometry now (nevertheless, you need the most recent code on the server side not released yet, so you have to build it from source on RPi), does have "slew" button on plate solve panel again and has "inspect corners" view. Also deadlock on startup issue is hopefully fixed.

With the latest build of AstroDSLR the preview window sometimes goes black and never displays any images. I’m using a Sony α7R Ⅳ and I know that the camera is working because when enabling the live preview, the histogram continues to update. How can I provide more troubleshooting info?

I’m using this on a M1 MacBook Pro running macOS 11.2.2.

Does it happen with LiveView or regular captures? Maybe try to make a trace log to check if there is some error reported. You're probably the first happy A7R4 owner in our community, nobody tested it yet and it may be a little bit different from previous models.

OK, I captured both a screen recording of the issue and a DEBUG log.

When first connecting to the camera and starting a live preview loop, the preview window works perfectly. Things start to go wrong when switching between regular captures and then back to LiveView. After that the preview window remains black no matter what you try to display including loading existing captured images. As I said before, the Histogram and other data regarding what is supposed to be displayed are correct...just the preview itself is black until you quit the app and relaunch.

Thank you! Sony is this time innocent :) I don't know why yet, but the problem is stretching. It probably failed to switch from 16 bit mode back to 8 bit mode, I have to investigate it.

In the second part of your video both the back and white point is set to 0. As a temporary workaround you can try to restore automatic mode by clicking on "auto" button or to increase white point value manually.
