Auxiliary device warning suggestion

Post by iMustBcrazy »

Last weekend my session ended just after I went to bed and so I missed a good 3 hours of imaging. I was thinking it would be nice to have an alarm for out of range operating conditions like in my case, battery level. I read that one should never operate a battery below 11 V. It would be great if there were some auxiliary device monitoring so that an alarm could be given if battery voltage was low, for example so that I can investigate and do something about it. What appears to have happened is that only one battery out of two was properly connected and so the system started to shut down halfway through the night - it seems bad power connections is not such an atypical thing according to others I've talked to. Anyway, just a suggestion. I wonder, is this something that could be scripted?

With devices like Pegasus Universal power box (UPB) you can monitor voltage and you can also write an INDIGO script to do something if the value is out of range.
